About FormX Golf

I started FormX Golf because I kept making expensive mistakes. I'd read a glowing review somewhere, buy the GPS watch or launch monitor, and then realize three weeks later that the reviewer had clearly never used it in an actual round. I got tired of it.

I've been playing golf for over 20 years. I'm not a teaching pro or a scratch golfer — I'm a mid-handicapper who cares about the game and pays close attention to the gear that genuinely makes a difference versus the stuff that just looks good in marketing photos.

Every review on this site is based on real research, real use, and honest analysis. I don't have manufacturer relationships. Nobody sends me free gear in exchange for coverage. When I say something is worth buying, I mean it. When I say it isn't, I mean that too.

How I evaluate gear

Every review goes through the same process: I research the specs and compare them to the competition, dig through real user feedback from golfers (not just marketing material), look at independent accuracy testing where it exists, and weigh value at every price point. I call out the tradeoffs clearly, because every piece of gear has them.
